I am among those people who heavly break upon pseudo intellecualism and people who are not intel but pretend to be so. We people here most of we poeple, get easily fooled by such pseudo intelligent people with their half baked concept over psychology and philosophy, unable to think over meance of thoughts and getting easily satisfied with underlining escapism to accept a shalower logic...and this is why many Indian movies with so called bold treatments and topic have eaither got non-deserved critics or box office applause, and a big example among them is National Award winner, Chokar Bali, from Ritu Paurno, which was an ultimate sh*t on the name of creative movie.

Very Strong Storyline and Treatment: Yesterday when I watched Nishabd, I really felt elated that Ram Gopal Verma has come with very honest movie and for me it was classic. The movie preaches nothing, neither it tries to justify immoral things like Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Truly this movie needed head to understand the psychology of the characters and a honest viewer. The story is not about a sexual inclination of two off aged people, but it’s story of two same mentally framed people which were otherwise lone in their own world. A take over old age where a person is concerned by the family only when he is mattered,  where a old is forced to behave like what a society and surroundings wishes him to do, where an old wants to see the glimpse of his younger age and where an old is in search of a true friend. this movie is a potrayal of a true state of an Old man, from which most of the people shy to talk about and deal about.  Let me make it very very clear that this movie has nothing to do with sexuality only. It has all flavours and daringly truthfulness.
The first half of the movie itself explores and a strong reasoning of the culmination of such realtionship between two people and very strongly proves that we people are actually habituated to lead life and relationships under certain tags and definitions while the fact is that an emotion does not need such definitions and it can happen to anybody.

Why a young girl can fall to the charisma of a mature old man, who is child by heart, but that child has to be opressed under social contours.  They can’t hug each others due to social boundations and imposed definitions which otherwise can’t define a hugging relationship less than sexuality and more than sexuaity while the fact is that it is not sexuality expression! This is the pity of the confilct between human psychology and the world of definitions of relationship, from which we most of the people escape and shy away, becuase we are not bold and very selfish, and easily turn down such stories which needs maturity from us.

Nishabd is an open slap on our hypocratic society and most of the people here at mouthshut who have written against such a beautiful movie.

Performances are terrific and totallly a play of expressions: Nishabd would notbe possible without thining artists who could understand the requirements of characters and speciallly such a storyline. Amitabh Bachchan has already played so much roles with such finesse that after every such role he looks impossible actor to be achieved by any one else and his Nishabd act again fixes another flag with a spectacular performance which will be a lesson for all the actors. For example take some extremely brilliant sceens from this movie:
1) When he snaps Jia while bathing, here he has to express himself as a photographers happy with finding a chance to capture a careless youth while keepin aside any sexual undertone. And he did it terrificly correct.
2) When he takes Jia for state visit. He very ably shows the hidden child in all old people.
3) When he fights with Jia.
4) When he was all playing with Jia and all sudden her mom’s calls from Austrelia and Amitabh realises the conflict between the worldly truth a definition of a possible relationship between an old and a youth and his subsequent silent withdrawal from the scene like a culprit. Who the else actor would play such a sensitve scene with such a strength. salute you Mr. Bachchan.
5) The mental struggle of Bachchan with his sense of guilt as well as his love for Jia. Hiseveryday passing with an unseen death and his wish to counter it with memories of Jia.

Jia Khan is another new terrific performance of this year. She will leave your really nishabd as an intelligent and out of world girl persona. Revathy as a broadminede but still typical hypocratic housewife is excellent and you will certainly sympathasise with her. And the young girl playing as Amitabh’s daughter has too done good job. Small starcast but proves what it really takes to make a great movie.

Direction, treatmen and Techies...Just Superb: Personally I feel this is the best movie of Ram Gopal Verma so far. A story far away from his forte, gangwars. He deals such a romantically matured and sensitive issue with such a great care that it makes me accept that he is the best directorial talnt of Indian cinema.  A man who is so much mentaly evolved as well as technially. He knows very well the required color of his characters, his actor’s performance as well as the colors of his camera!
He is astonishingly intelligent and every intelligent person will accept this after watching Nishabd.
 His only fault in the enitre movie was the absence of Rozana song, a magnisicent song, sung by Amitabh and directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, with a rock touch, whose tune graces the entire background score but the song itself is missing from the movie. Ramu could have insetred this song either in bits and pieces of after the frame. It was much needed song and a real treat to listen with excellent rock music and vocie of Amitabh. Background mucis was really superb and highly noticeable.
cameraman has again supported Ramu a lot as it is close framed movie with high on facial expressions.

The Final Takes: Only those who are not having heart neither brain to realise the truth escape away. Nishabd is not a sexual movie at all neither it is any other escapist movie where characters are defined between black and white. Neither this movie does advocacy of socially wrong. In fact it keeps itself far away from the argument of wrong and right and tells a magnificent situation between two people and agony and tragedy they pass through for being part of such situation. An end where you are left thinking.

It is a movie where situation and psychology is the hero, the protagonist and truly a high quality movie. It is sad nowthat on mouthshut also dummy people have started writing review and rating poor such a beautiful movie.  Don’t miss it, if you think you have not missed your head somewhere.
