FInally Delhi’s chain Nirula’s reached to my home town Lucknow as well. Influenced by their FM advertisement I ordered their deluxe thali. To me seems like their whole staff is either from Delhi or from some out of town place. My office is located right there in Hazratganj in Ashok Marg (BTW Nirula’s is also in Hazratganj), but the guy picking the order was so ignorant about the local landmarks that it took almost 5 minutes to complete in the order. There was no word at the end like your order should take this much time etc.

Anyway after an hour wait, finally we got our food delivered. The worst mistake in their part is there are no add-ons in thali (e.g. extra pickels, napkins or even spoon). Imagine eating Indian food (daal, chapati, curd, rice) without spoon. No napkins are served so esentially you have to eat in very primitive style that is mix every thing altogether eat with your hands and after eating colelct one news paper and clean your table.

ALso it would have been much better if they supplied some sugar mixed saunf (a normal in every North Indian home delivery in Lucknow), but anyway when they cant provide spoons and napkins what else to expect. Food was just so so. Nothing as compaired to Royal cafe or Aryan’s.
