Wonder wat's happened to the standards maintained by Nilgiri's stores?? The employees or attenders at these stores are plain OBNOXIOUS. I guess they think dat working at the store is lik going on a picnic. They are badly behaved, not interested in attending to customers, talk rubbish, play with each other and pull each other's leg and all this in the presence of the customer. Donno from which remote corner of the country dey get these people and hire them as employees/attenders...Let me share what I witnessed at these stores
At the Nilgiri's store located in jayanagar, there were a couple of girls who were supposed to attend to the customers.Instead of doin that, they were singing songs(bad ones at that) and having a merry time.When a customer asked them for a particular product, their response was so rude.And they kept coming in the way of the customers(including mine) singing some pathetic songs in a pathetic voice. A wonderful shopping experience!!!!!
At the Nilgiri's store located near the water tank in kathriguppe, banashankari there were 2 or 3 employees/attenders for the entire store. I did my shopping and found that there was nobody at the billing counter. So I called out to them( 2 attenders were helping one customer!!!!) and both of them started fighting(or whatever it is) that the other person should do the billing.
And finally one of them came forward(thank god for the mercy!!) The other girl who didnt want to do the billing actually had the AUDACITY to come near the billing counter and say that she is not interested in billing for only a few items(i had shopped for around 8-10 items) and that she would do the billing if there were lots of items....hahahahahahahaha...How stupid is that....LOL.. (This happened on 7th nov 2009)
Well this is the kind of customer service we find at Nilgiri's stores. But honestly I dont blame these employees/attenders. It is the management which needs to be strict and train their staff in customer service/orientation and Basic manners...Else the story continues...WAKE UP NILGIRI'S MANAGEMENT
