Nilgiri's sold 3 packets of Pao (for Pao bhaji) on Fri July 30, 2010. When I opened the packets to use the pavtwo days later, it had fungus on all pieces of the pav. I was surprised at such quick deterioration in this cool weather in Bangalore. So, I started by checking the "best before" date on the packets.
I found that the "best before date" for each packet of pav that I had been sold was 30/7/2010.
I would like to request the Nilgiri management to step up and ensure that quality is maintained for perishable products. Please ensure that if a product's "best before" date has expired, then it should be the store's moral responsibility to remove it from the shelf.
