I own a F60QD since 1999. I bought it in US in conjunction with Sigma 28-80, which costed me around $520. Then later I added Sigma 70-300 and a Achiever flash for $300 with various filters it totaled $940.
It is good for the casual photographer or a beginner but a beginner who likes to experiment will find this camera obsolete in a year.
I read lot of books and started experimenting with manual options and found that most of the time I am not able to achieve professional looking snaps. Ofcourse it could be because I am using drug stores to process my film. The features are good but my advise is not to add accessories to this camera as the camera will need to be upgraded soon.
It is better to go for a very good digital camera or N70 or N90, which gives you better quality and options. One more good investment that needs to be made is buying fast lens instead of the slow lens you will get in the general market also a tripod will greatly help in the quality.
I took some very good snaps and also some very bad ones. But the more you use it the better I got the hang of it. If the camera is not used for a month and the next time I use it the Mirror in the SLR gets stuck so I have to remove the film and batteries and reload to make it work. This is the major problem I faced till now.
