cast ;sunjay dutt , kim sharma ,saif ,bipasha and mr shakti kapoor as the corpse duration ;too long rating ;for morons with a capital M DIRECTOR ;conspicuously absent
why oh why
did bollywood have to release two of its worst movies in the same weekend ,that too on the festive occassion of holi , it will be a mystery forever .
PLOT and performances
I wish there was one to discuss in short a lot of con men conning each other and us the audience ,with one of them being killed earlier the rest of the movie cocerns wit some how trying to convince others hes still alive , so the corpse smokes ,drinks beer, fights and goes disco dancing as well as water sailing , enough said
while nishabd deals with an interesting and realistic subject in a pornographic manner , this almost is a tribute to NECROPHILIA ,where a dead body ,a corpse [shakti kapoor ]is the intended source of absolutely disgusting jokes only fit for morons [ a complete mockery of the concept of respect for the dead]
i was so bored after number 23, eklavya and nishabd i decided to give it a chance , much to my later remorse
i cant believe why sunjay and saif signed this movie after reading the script or was there one to start with , i doubt it seriously bipasha and kim have done this before and they are not to be blamed at all as they are poor little decoration dolls , just part of the scenery. actually kim seems to be really enjoying this brainless experience which says something for her real intelligene , its like yes im doing this trash , so what ,who cares good attitude but not for the poor audience
a dead body is left outside for about a week in a subtropical climate but fails to rot or show any signs of rigor mortis , only hindi cinema can come up with miracles like that
there is a tantric deity on a tapu too ,to make it voodoolike and turn the corpse into a zombie , the crassness is impossible to describe
yet i found people actually laughing in this movie , our poor audience ,doesnt it say something about how starved we are for good entertainment
now for the few positives , some of the situations are potentially funny at the start and in the first half there is chemistry between saif and sunjay which reminds you slightly of the hilrious do aur do paanch with shashi and amitab , but its a blasphemy to even compare this movie with that comic classic
the cinematographer is the only guy taking his work seriously , it is ample proof of bollywood coming of age technically but going bankrupt in other departments
at least the song parwardigara is hummable if neither origonal nor so well picturised , i missed the rest of the songs as i preferred to go out for a walk and talk to friends on my mobile
if you are as desperate as me to see a good hindi movie this week , then go forth and give it a try , but be warned its not even worth 3 rupees to spend on ,rather then the 30 crore that the cast is fighting over along with dragging the corpse all over goa or mauritius wherever they shot this monstrosity , and the money is hidden in a grave in a cemetry ,stikes a chord ,remember the hollywood thriller
the shakti kapoor corpse doesnt stink but the movie makes up for that bigtime
i dont know why ive even bothered ro review it , but maybe i can save some of you some money and some exquisite torture
cheers
