We needed to employ a receptionist for our clinic and I decided to place an online ad at naukri.com to do so. I paid online by credit card; and my transaction was verified. When I then logged in and tried to upload my posting , I got a message which effectively said - You cannot post a job until you pay.


The message was - " You do not have active subscription for Job Posting.

 This is inspite of the fact that they had already charged my credit card for this transaction and had sent me an email that the transaction was successful !

I sent them emails; and even spent about 60 min of my life trying to talk to customer service, asking them to allow me to post my job.  This was a complete waste. They do not bother to pick up the phone; leave you on hold; and then someone does pickup, they pass the buck onto someone else.

In fact, if you try to call their customer service number on the website ( From South India & Mumbai)+91-9810623920 - you hear - " Please check the number you have dialled " - which means the number on their website is wrong !

I finally got someone to agree to "look into the matter" which they never did ! To add insult to injury, when I asked my credit card company ( ICICI) to charge back because they had not provided me the service they billed me for ( service deficiency), they refused to refund the money !
