I had once written a review here in Mouthshut against this dirty cesspool of an institution called National Public School Indiranagar. The review has since been deleted, but having read the news that NPS Indiranagar along with 6 other sister NPS institutions lost the CBSE affliation after being caught for a sinister and sickening anti-poor move of forging the Malayalam linguistic minority status certificate to avoid admitting poor students under the RTE quota, I want to write a review about this rubbish and overrated school again.

Not only is this garbage school anti-poor, charging exorbitant fees which goes into lakhs depending on how many years the student has studied in NPS, they are anti-Kannada too. You will hardly find a single Kannadiga student in NPS Indiranagar, most of them are Tamilians and North Indians only. Even Malayalis are less in number in that school, so how dare can the pro-rich and anti-poor m*r called KP Gopalakrishna lobby for a Malayalam lingusitic minority certificate?

NPS's fame and success is only due to a handful of naturally brilliant and academically students who are treated preferentially over the other students. These students are arrogant, think that they are the Gods of the school and make fun of the average and academically weak students. Even the faculty, who are supposed to encourage these average students to compete with the academically-strong students who don't need any guidance to do well anyway, insult them and treat them as good-for-nothings, even telling tales about them to their parents. For a same misdemeanour, the academically strong students are let off with a small warning, while the average students are punished severely and humiliated. I have noticed this first-hand, being unfortunately an old student of this school. In fact, NPS students are so arrogant and headstrong, they are even hated by students of other schools and are often booed during inter-school events.

Only academics is encouraged in NPS. That is not a bad thing, but then that dirty school thinks that success in academics is the only means for success in life. A student may not be good at academics, but may be good at something else(sports, music, dance, art etc.). However, according to NPS, such students will fail in their life for sure. Students are tortured in this school from their primary school days itself to get 95%+ and above in the academics and are forced to not enjoy their childhood unlike the children from other normal and decent schools. In fact, the pressure to succeed is such that a girl called Poojitha(who is from NPS Rajajinagar, a sister institution following the same rubbish ideas of NPS Indiranagar) ran away unable to cope with the academic pressure.

The only co-curricular activities encouraged are the academically-inclined ones like quiz and debate, again not a bad thing at all, but why not encourage sports, music, dance, theatre and art? No facilities are there for sports except for athletics, volleyball, throwball and basketball. Forget about your son playing for the Indian Cricket Team or even the Karnataka Ranji team if he studies in NPS, cricket, the most popular game in India, is not played in the s*t school called NPS. This Gopalakrishna is so narrow-minded, he considers extra-curricular activities except quiz and debate as a waste of time and a distraction in the pursuit of getting that 95%+ in AISSE/AISSCE and a seat in some IIT.

The only good thing about NPS was the discipline, but that was 15-20 years ago. It has gone down severely since then, to the point that NPS and its students are now no longer known for high standards of discipline.

At least good times have started now. That c*p school has been disaffliated by the CBSE. I just hope they lose their forgery case in the court, made to cough up a heavy fine for their heinous anti-poor decisions and are forced to shut down each and every one of their schools and end their torture of the students. I do feel for the average and academically-weaker students, I hope they can now go to some better school where they will get better encouragement and guidance.
