Importance of National Celebration. Review on National Centre For Excellence, Bangalore

Extremely disappointed with the way the school is handling the ways to celebrate Independence Day. Authorities of the school need to realize the importance of incorporating Values related to important National Holidays. The school has not made the celebration mandatory nor has taken up any other means to educate the young minds about the importance of such celebrations.  When enquired, they have accepted on celebrating with a couple of teachers. As a concerned parent, would like to know how teachers celebrating the day would impart the value of the day in children, without their involvement? Having a hitech medium of communication, the school authorities have chosen to let the parents know about the celebration through word of mouth and do not care about the kids not being a part of it. Personally, celebrations for Independence Day and Republic Day must be made a compulsion and not optional. Having charged exorbant fees from every student, hope finance should not be a concern and if it is, parents who spend for field trip conducted from school, would not mind in spending for Independence Day celebration. This is an insult to our Country and the citizens serving the Country. Hope the school takes up this concern on priority.
