'Namastey London' movie review. Review on Namastey London

This  film  is  very  close  to my  heart  as  I  myself  am  an  NRI  &  have  been  so  from  birth.So  I  can  very  well  relate  to  Katrina  Kaif's  character  in  the  movie.Jasmmet  aka  Jazz(Katrina  Kaif)  is  a  fun  sized  London  girl.Her  father,Manmohan  Malhotra(Rishi  Kapoor)  is  dismayed  that  she's  again  made  a  fool  out  of  a  decent  Indian boy  arranged  by her  parents  for  marriage.His  Pakistani  friend,Parvez(Javed  Sheikh)  is  enraged  that  his  son  Imran(Upen Patel)  wants  to  ahve  a  live-in relationship  with  his  Brit  girlfriend.He  throws  Imran out  of  the  house  &  the  two  fathers  begin to  think  if  their  lives  would've  been better  off  living in  their  own countries.In  an  attempt  to  make Jazz  like  everything  Indian,Manmohan  asks  her  to  come  on a  trip  to  India.But  that's  not  as  plain  as  her  father's  plan  may  seem.Despite  his  wife's  arguements  he  posts  her  profile  &  her pretty  picture  on  an Indian  matrimonial  site.As  expected,many  'cultured'  Indian  boys  send  in their  proposals.In India,Jazz  comes  to know  of  her  father's  idea  &  plays  along  with him.Luckily  for  her,all  the  guys  they meet  are  comical  &  fail  to impress her  father.The  last  place  her  father  has  remaining  to  find  a  good  groom  is  his  homestate,Punjab.Arjun  Singh(Akshay Kumar)  is  a  farmer  with  a  BIIIIIIIG  family  &  a  bigger heart.Jazz's  father  is  impressed  the  way  Arjun  behaves  as  stubborn as his  daughter  to  get  answers  out of  her.Soon,Manmohan  gives  his  consent  for  the  wedding  without  bothering  to  ask  Jazz  or  his  wife  about the  marriage.Jazz  is  shocked  that  her  father  fixed  her  life-time  committment  with  a  guy  whom  she  has  nothing  in  commom  with.Furthermore,Arjun  can't  even  utter  a  single  word  of  English!Also  Jazz's  got  a  'fair'  prospect  back in London-her  Britis  boss,Charlie  Brown.Her friend,Imran tells  her  a  plan  to  get her  out  of  the  sticky  situation.But this  little  plan  ends  up  breaking  Manmohan  &  Pravez's  trust,&  most  importantly  Arjun's  heart.The  songs  keep  you  humming  atleast  once  every  day.Akshay  Kumar  makes  his  comic  role  seem  so  effortless.Katrina  &  Upen  ave  accents  that  make  them  perfect  for  thei r respective  roles.In the  end,every  girl  would  only  want  a  guy  like  Arjun  rather  than  a  not-so-gentlemanly  Englishman.
