NIIT, known for the computer education in DELHI and NCR's is one of the worst computer teaching institutes. The faculty employed are those students who have completed one or two year course at NIIT. The faculty themselves is not fully trained and knowledgeable on any of the products( advanced like Jave, .net). They know nothing outside the curriculum or book of NIIT. The faculty is those students who are in search of the job and can speak a little well. The infrastructure is bad. The computers in the lab are in worst condition.
They are the older computer with little RAM, or older motherboards and slower processors. The center-heads never take any responsibility to get them upgraded though they charge a hefty sum of money for the course. They course counselors are busy always selling the products whether they suit the student ability or not. The reason being they have to complete the month's target. The course contents have worsened through the years come. The contents of the course are very less and not self-sufficient and dope does not have enough self-practice sessions. The course speed is too high that an average student which is admitted(counselors knowing that the student has just scored 50% in board exams and has not good aptitude) cannot grasp the content in the stipulated time span.
Like for example in the first semester of the 1 or 2-year course the student is asked to write programs in Java or C+ or C#(institute know that the students have no computer background). To understand C Classes or JAVa structures students should have some background before. After first two or three MS Office and Comp Funda classes, the C+, Java is started. The speed of curriculum is so high that in just a week's time they will finish basic Java(whether students understands or not). I am sure not even the brightest of the student can grasp the c+ classes or Java classes in just 3 or 4 theory class. This is just another money making an organization, They advertise and say that they are concerned about the studies and quality education. But what is the inside story, ask one who is studying there or has worked for NIIT itself. They are just concerned about the business achieved during the month and nothing else. . I will suggest never to go for high-end courses at this institute.
At the time of admission they promise a job, but trust me you will yourself have to search the job and their placement cell is good for nothing.
