Get ready to get busted with some kickass action along with the insane police. Yes that’s the correct word for the police here, they are totally crazzzzy! As usual I will divide my review in Campaign
(Good parts, bad parts), Challenge series, and multiplayer. I will also include some relief news for low end system guys.
I have completed the whole game and I think I can judge the game correctly as it is.

CAMPAIGN : The Campaign is the Career mode of the game, for people who like a story with the thrill of the game (totally perfect for me). The story although is as usual a typical racer game story but does contains some twists and suspense’s. Too bad if you have already read spoilers.

(Good Parts):
Story: Totally good story! Fantastic. You would love to be a part of it. The race gangs problems, the stubbornness of racers, the crazy police chief, totally fun.

Graphics : Although we usually don’t see much graphics details in racing games, but this game offers a lot. Especially the shaders etc. are really stunning. The HDR effect looks great and is used really well. Graphics look a little like those of NFS Hot Pursuit 2.

A 6600GT can serve you with full graphics, 6800GT Ultra can run it crazily on full resolution + full details. The best part of the game performance wise that it’s so wisely coded that it spans its support from a crappy old nVIDIA-Geforce-2MX to nVIDIA-GeForce-6800GT. YES!!!! Even 2MX guys can play this game!!

The major thing this game will ask for is a good RAM, a 512 MB wont frustrate you with the 5 minutes loading time in 256MB ones.

Your Girl Friend : She is seriously sexy! :P … Woah! Woah! Don’t be mad at me… I meant Josie Maron.

Gameplay : Ok now! This Car racing game is totally different that other ones. This game has many types of races, with the old style ones as well as some new ones. New ones include Tollbooth, really nice concept; Speed Trap is fun as well.

Racing is fun with the very new Speed Breaker with which you can slow down time and go out of tight situations like too much traffic, too many cops, tight turns etc.

Other than regular races, we have some police problems in between which are totally crazy as I said in the beginning, Police in the beginning will be calm but when you become notorious, police will act even more notorious. In police chases, resisting them is not the only part of the gameplay, sometimes you have to act bad to get points. Police also has some levels; it varies according to your naughtiness, the more naughty you get on the road, the more monstrous police cars will come to bust you.

Its not at all easy boy like Hot Pursuit 2! And it’s not at all already script! Whatever happens will happen according to your acts. Guess what, you can damage police cars as well! You can damage parts of the world as well to stop police. Damn you can create a total chaos if you really want to. >:) Tons of police will try to surround you to stop you!

Cars : This game offers stupid road cars as well as exotics! You can upgrade the exotics as well :-O

Sound/Music : The soundtracks are good, the police music are movie style ones. What I mean is when you are racing clean; you will hear some nice hip-hop or modern rock track. But when police sees you, a totally cool, action packed, movie style music will start. Not playing with sound? OK you can enjoy but put sound on full and then play! You will feel yourself inside the action.

Another nice part is that the police dialogs are very variable i.e. not like the repeated ones of NFS Hot Pursuit 2.

Environment: The environment keeps changing! It will b morning sometimes, evening, may be a hot after noon as well, if this is not enough rain will satisfy you. Although “night” is not there.

(Bad parts):

Well one bad part is career mode is not at all challenging! Its easy! :( Remember that how you chewed iron under your teeth while playing NFS Underground? Well you won’t face such a situation here.

Another bad part is that there is no mode in which you can play as a Cop. Although it seems quite sensible since you are an illegal street racer theme wise, so being a cop is a little illogical but still it should be there.

Another bad part is that the loss you face when you are busted is very less. Its like very less motivation to get out of police hands. If you are busted… it doesn’t matter that much on your career.

Well last but not the least, in cutscenes (which are really good) Josie Maron appears very less number of times :(

CHALLENGE SERIES : EA games guys are the wisest guys I have ever seen in attracting customers. People who just want to taste the sugar everyday a little, who don’t want to take responsibility of a game by starting its career mode, Challenge mode is best for you. Start racing with good cars in the beginning itself.

The challenge series will provide you with a car and a track in each of the 69 races. It kicks ass. The best part of challenge series is that the tollbooth races are seriously difficult here! Yay!! People who are looking for some tight driving should play challenge series. Infact I am enjoying Challenge series more in terms of gameplay.

Multiplayer : Honestly I haven’t played the game on LAN that much so not much comments. But it’s as usual so no big deal. Speed Breaker is not there in multiplayer which is quite natural and obvious.

So I think I really should end my review here :)
