Mudras at your Fingertips A friend gave me this book. I found it easy to read and to use.


The book is divided in a useful manner. I have tried to give you an insight about what each part contains.


Specific Mudras lists the mudras and provides the page number where they are to be found.


Acknowledgements is a sweet one page which will introduce you to the author and her purpose.


Dear Reader instructs you about how to use this book.


Part One has Exploring the Mudra Concept, where Gertrud Hirschi discusses What are Mudras?


Origin of Mudras, which includes


How are Mudras Practiced?


Where and When Can You Practice Mudras? and


How Long is a Mudra Held?


BREATHING, VISUALIZATION, AND AFFIRMATIONS TO ENHANCE THE MUDRAS Here, we learn how to adjust breathing so that the effect of a mudra is intensified.


MUDRAS AND MUSIC These two pages tell us about music and healing.


MUDRAS AND COLOR This discusses 9 colours and their effects on us.


USING MUDRAS TO HEAL PHYSICAL COMPLAINTS Besides a general account of their value for health, we see that some can help in an emergency.

WHAT A MUDRA CANNOT DO This is a section which is necessary as many fanatics feel that if something helps somewhat it can do miracles! It is like a disclaimer.

Mudras are easy to perform and I do think they help - at least I felt they helped me both in some physical ailments as well as in mental and emotional needs.
