If you want to witness what an organization full of unorganized, uneducated, incompetent fools look like, Mphasis is the place.
I was here for no more than a day and I must admit it frustrated me beyond human tolerance. The HR team has no idea what they are doing, they make you wait while they loiter around talking to each other. Before I came for the interview, their so called TL of the HR’s told me that my office would be at Mahadevpura, Bangalore.
I agreed to come for the interview based on that as Mahadevpura is close to my house. I came for the interview at 10 am, at 08:30 pm all the rounds were complete, Yes! 08:30 pm! Waited the entire day for 2 rounds, BEAT THAT! And guess what? After all the rounds are over the HR fools told me that my office would be at Bommanahalli, Bangalore! Which is 40 kms away from my house!
I confronted the HR and asked her why she told me at first the office would be at Mahadevpura? Had she told me it’s in Bommanahalli, I would have never come for the interview. She just kept quiet, I gave her a piece of my mind and stormed out of the office.
I wasted an entire day, however, I’m glad that I spent those hours to sit there and observe the kind of idiots that work here. I found a huge crowd of losers walking around in sandals, untuck shirts.absolutely no dress code.
Most of the women in the organization spend their time cat-walking from the reception to the cafeteria gossiping, there is nothing close to work ethics in this organization. And the English they speak! Don’t even ask me! I couldn’t understand a word spoken by some of their most senior employees.
The dress code of some of the women would be a perfect fit in a playboy magazine. I realized that this is certainly not where I want to be, it’s as good as crucifying my career.
Go to Mphasis if all you’re looking for is a job. If you have other work ethics in mind or a fruitful career, try elsewhere. I’ve been taught the importance of work culture, ethics, code of conduct etc., thanks to the excellent organizations I’ve worked for.
Stepping in this place that has none of that was a mental torture for that entire day of sitting there and observing how an organization SHOULD NEVER operate!
