I have been following this portal for sometime. I worked with this company in the senior management level for few years before leaving the place for a better opportunity. Though I agree with most of the reviews and the frustration of all I feel problems of Mphasis is with everyone. Unfaithful staff, sleeping leadership and worthless delivery group. In realilty Mphasis's problems dates back to old Mphasis days.
Mphasis was never a professionally managed company even if claims to be one. During my stay in Mphasis, I had chance to work with people from different regions of India. All I can say is most of the Delivery leaders have no idea what they are expected to do. It was very funny when I found that no delivery leaders dare to speak to clients or own their delivery. Always they are seen busy messing up with their project with their junk skills or planning to screw up others. Though its not appropriate to speak in such public forums I wouldn't hesitate to say that the company can have future only if they fire all of their senior leadership. Strangely every location had its unique characteristics, as far as I observed. If you work with Pune center you will come across many fanatics. Bangalore has its own share of many amateurish leaders. In Chennai, they have cheap grade leaders.
As someone pointed out earlier, Mphasis is the place only if you are looking for salary and not a career or growth. If you looking for a prospective career or future you better start look elsewhere If someone is expecting HR to be good you are in for an upset. The actual job of HR is to provide a cover for all the unethical and atrocities of the delivery org. The reason being most of the practices being adopted by IT companies in India are against the law and recommended labor practices. In all of these companies, HR is used as a cover and the buck stops with them.
I feel very sorry to read so many painful experiences shared here.
