TO TRUST OR NOT TO TRUST


To build up a TRUST takes years. To loose that TRUST can take just a day.

I for one found this TRUST CIRCLE here on Mouth Shut a fun thing. How does someone, who has never met me, Trust me in the first place. Most times it is based on reviews that I write, some times I get placed on the TC, to get me to rate/comment on their reviews This works the other way too! Which is fine.

The purpose of writing this review is that I am in danger of LOOSING THIS TRUST of most members here. Maybe some have already lost their Trust on me. Why has this happened?

INTERNET FRAUD: CRIMES OF OUR TIMES

Last week I exchanged a few M2Ms with a member Rahulbhiwedi1.

He wrote “Do you know it is a violation to use multiple ID’s?” That is when I got to know about a review posted by a computer savvy genius, who had managed brilliantly to copy past my entire profile page including my picture under a new id : mariner2_

Note the underscore after 2. Rahul sent me the url of the offending review, but Mouthshut had removed the   review posted by this evil genius before I could read it. This happened again a day later when I got a call from Traveller (Ramesh).

I did write to MouthShut about this offending character. I got a reply to say the offending review has been yanked off.

But mariner2_ came back with 3 more reviews under some heading “Confessions…..”. I read this one, which was a take off on my review on Alcoholism. I knew I was in deep deep trouble.

A few computer savvy friends realized this mariner2_ to be a fraud and alerted me. But most others got taken in. The execution of this fraud was that brilliant.

A few days later I realized that this dude had sent M2M’s to members on my TC.
Now that was a problem for sure. I have requested MouthShut managemnent to trace all such M2M’s and inform fellow members that Mariner2 is not responsible for this.

Yesterday I was compelled to call the Mouth Shut Management and spoke to them at length. They had no doubt this was a major fraud and that I need not worry that I am in any way responsible for creating multiple id’s. They know me for long, maybe 2 years or more. They have tolerated some of my most controversial reviews too! I received major support and assurances from Aarti. However this issue refuses to die.

MOUTHSHUT AND NUISANCE MEMBERS

Unfortunately of late MouthShut Management has to deal with many cases of multiple id’s, offensive reviews, offensive and abusive M2M’s. They have a major task on their hands and have very few ways of cleaning up the site. Just blocking the errant members (Mouth sealed) does not help because the evil members get back with other id’s. Mind you for some strange reasons, even old Star Writers and Hall of Famers lost their sense of balance and MouthShut Management had to seal their accounts.

Mariner2_ stands out among the others for fraud on MS. The way this dude copy pasted my profiles page and picture was a FIRST on MouthShut! When I did see this fraudulent profiles page, my admiration for his genius shot sky high after an initial shock! No one else had thought of doing this before here. No wonder so many got taken in. In a way he honored me with this first. Why he did what he did I do not know. This review is in a way a tribute to this evil genius.

TRUST CIRCLE

In the light of the above my Trust Circle which I had always discounted, has became a major issue for me.

I made a brave attempt to inform as many members as possible to discount mariner2_, but I continue to get flooded with phone calls, M2M’s and some other members spill this thing over in the comments to my reviews. The confusion continues to this hour. Mamma Mia, I quit my Sunday Golf game for this thing! Hail mariner2_ for that alone!

Now I cannot possibly sent a thousand m2ms all around nor can the Management at Mouthshut!


QUIT MouthShut Mariner2 You Are Over The Hill!!!!

Most of my contemporaries on Mouthshut, including many Star Writers, brilliant writers have vanished from this site. I figured it was my time to go.

But that would mean surrendering to the whims of this evil genius mariner2_

And I do not intend to do that, at least for a while! 
