I am not going to write about people whom I trust and people who trust me because they already know who they are.

One this that is haunting me from the day I joined MS is what makes people
trust each other (Not in real life, rather in MS). I have seen people who have not written any review, ie ZERO reviews being trusted by 50+ people, and some who(Not ranjran) have written 20+ are trusted by few.

What is trust
What is the concept of trust circle?

Is it, people who write reviews which are believable, people whose opinion’s you trust, the reviews which you recommend to other people you know cos you know that the person is true???

Is it, people who rate you best, so that you are inoculated from bad ratings, ratings by Trust Circle makes you ’immune’ against ratings of review whom you don’t trust???

Is it people whom you like, for no specific reason???

What makes people trust each other
As far as am concerned, I started trusting people who welcomed me to MS, people who encouraged me, people who gave me advices.

Then I started trusting people whose reviews I liked, people whose review I found True, people who were passionate about writing and the product they were writing about.

Then I read, Trusted Circle is just a list of people whom you can trust, who always give you high ratings for your review. I did the same on couple of occasions.

The next info I got was ’you trust me and I trust you’, aren’t we loosing the entire purpose of trust circle with this, doesn’t it encourage ratings each other HR, so that it beats the system???

What makes people distrust?
Most of the times its gut feel. There is one member who distrusts me for a reason I don’t know. He has not rated any of my review, not posted comments on any of my reviews, has not responded to any M3M I sent him, Iam not even sure whether he read any of my reviews!! Does he distrust me cos he doesn’t like my face????

Observations
For me, Trust Circle would be a mixture of all. People who encourage me, people who trust me, people who write ’passionate’ reviews about a product, people who are true. I stopped believing in U trust me I trust U philosophy long time back.

I feel that there is an inhibition amoung lot of people in trusting other, I had couple of silly notions or practises which I don’t follow now.

1.The number of people who trusts you should be more then the number of you trust. I don’t give a damn anymore.

2.If someone trusts you, trust him/her as well. I won’t do that again till I feel that I can believe that person.

My trust list is full of people whom I trust for various reasons, some cos they are great writers, some because they showed me the way at MS. Sometimes, it happens that you trust a person exactly the same time he/she trusts you, the trust crosses each other, this feels wonderful.

For me Trust Circle would be a set of people whom I can believe in, people who are passionate about writing about the products they love. Now everything about MS is clear, nothing is blurred.

Stop caring how many people you have in your trust circle, stop caring about what ratings you get for your reviews and stop caring what others think about you. Be original.

One thing though, the people on my Trust list(as of now) are there because they deserve to be there. I am happy that I never made a wrong decision as far as they are concerned. I have removed couple of names in the course of this review though, people whom I stopped trusting. Don’t worry, you are not one of them :-)
