That’s IT!!!!! My 50th Review!

I have finally achieved what I thought was impossible. This IS my fiftieth review, and it is a cause of celebration for me, because I never thought I did get
this far. This occasion has provided me with the ideal opportunity to remember all those who trusted me and stood by me with their opinions. Today, I also felt that this would be the ideal review to write on Trusted Circle category in the community center. And today, everyone on MS also gets to know how I build my trust circle!

First Impression counts!
There are a lot of people whom I trusted just by reading their first review. This is what I call the first impression. Once you read their review, there is an instinct that he or she is someone is definitely whom you want to check out again. Its possible though that he or she may write ten other stupid review….but still manages on my trust list!

Some People have to be there!
Yeah, some people have to be there on the trust list don’t they. They usually are the star writers and more usually than not, star writers do write nicely. Of course there are times, when one does feel that a certain member doesn’t really deserve to be the star writer and is still there, and while there are many others deserving up to be there, but still not there. Nonetheless, checking out star writers is usually a great way to start adding people on your trust list.

The Usuals!
Then there are the usuals. They are those people with whom you probably wrote reviews with at some other site too! When you migrate to this site and see that the same people are here as well, it goes without saying that one trusts them! I have also a sizeable number of friends like that!

I need not trust immediately!
Sometimes a writer may write a great review, and I will still not put him on my trust list….and still other times, one review is enough. I didn’t put Sujay on my list for so long in spite of him being a brilliant writer because I just wanted to see more of his works. But yeah, now he is, and his reviews, I don’t miss them by any chance at all.

Variety Helps!
One of the things that I safely vouch on the site is that I have tried to write on as many topics as possible. So! I expect the same from others. I am quite reluctant to trust reviewers who write endless movie reviews (though with the exception of milinddesai…his oops! And psst! Sections are great!) or social topics based reviews. Rather, I am very inclined to put those people on trust list whose reviews speak of variety of subjects! So for me, variety is very important thing to trust people.

You trust me! That don’t mean I trust you!
There are no two ways about it. I just don’t add people to my trust list just because they added me to their trust list! I am not haughty, but I don’t like to do it either. Once when I get on others trust list whom I don’t know, I usually check out a couple of that person’s reviews. If I am impressed, well, that person is on my trust list immediately! If not, I wait for that person to write something new!

Humor Helps!
If any writer can put in humor into his articles, then he is surely a great writer. Such writers immediately come upon my trust list. I am yet to find a reviewer like Jasbirdyn who could induce so much humor into his reviews! For me he is the benchmark, and any one coming remotely close to his level follows on my trust list.

No Anti-Indians!
One thing I cannot stand is a reviewer writing against India. So, any body anti Indian has no place in my trust list for ever…even if his all other hundred reviews are superb, that one review is enough to change my mind! I respect other countries, their people and their cultures, but them commenting on India is simply not tolerable by me. And by writing anti-Indian reviews I don’t mean those reviews which speak of honesty and a personal experience in India, but those reviews which are simply meant to create controversy, and those reviews which are written without a grain of thought.

Well folks this is the way I trust people. There are couple of other issues too, but then I thought they might be common to us all. The other issues based on which I don’t trust people are
1)Copied Reviews
2)Senseless Controversial reviews
3)Writing for sake of writing 100 words
4)People who write 10-15 reviews at one go!
5)People who write just 1 review and forget it all!

Well, that is it for now. This was my 50th review, and as a part of the 50th review celebration, I updated my profile, and FINALLY put in a pic of myself! I also take this opportunity to thank all my fellow pals, who have never missed my review, and more importantly have always commented my reviews with their words…they are so much important to me while I write a review.

My pals here for me? (In no order!)
Achougoo, Reviewer, Loverboy4u_17, Jasbirdyn, Jilmil, Abababbey, Sujay_marthi, Venchasa, Koshish and so many others!!!! And last but not the least
Faisal and Aarti for keeping MS going! Keep it going…’as long as internet lasts…’

Thanks for being there pals!

Keep writin’!
