Why should one always write a positive review on MouthShut? Here I gather all my guts, bootstrap myself and commit harakiri by taking a dig at this wonderful community web site. I won’t mind an NR
for this review.
All points discussed here are negative points. Plenty of reviews have praised the positive aspects of MS umpteen number of times.
No Auto-loginCan someone tell me what is stopping MouthShut from providing this really really basic service called ’’Auto Login’’? Every Tom, Dick and Harry web site on the Internet has this option where you can check the ’’Remember Me’’ option and not worry about logging into the site every time you visit it. Of course there are security concerns but those who have problems with it, need not check that option.
When I read a review, I click on one of those ratings… and most of the time I am asked to log-in again. This happens even if I am away from MS just for a few seconds. (Log on to MS. Browse. Go to Hotmail. Come back to MS. You have to log-in again.)
It is a simple enhancement yaar! Just tell us why you cannot provide it. It is not like we are mandating the users to use the feature…
MouthPad: Does it really work without the initial review?Maybe it does. But my last two mouthpad entries have vanished into thin air. No news on them. Perhaps the products I had suggested are not suitable to MS. Shouldn’t I get a mail saying so? For the record, I had suggested the following two ’’products’’
1. Pune - Mumbai Expressway
2. Advice to people new to America.
Before you guys jump on my throat, let me say this: My success rate was 100% when there was an initial review to go with the suggestion. It is only when I don’t write a review but just suggest a product that MS has shown the cold shoulder to me.
Customer SupportI do have high expectations. Maybe I should not. I am not paying MS and so should not be too fussy on prompt customer service. However I do feel it can be a little better than what it is now. I sent a request to MS a three to four days ago. Of course I know it is almost an impossible task for them to do. But as said earlier, shouldn’t I get an email saying so? What is the response time here in MS? A week? Someone please clarify. CNN and Rediff respond mostly in a day or two.
Now, a genuine kocchen to my fellow MS guys and dolls:How do I change my uploaded picture. I have tried uploading a new picture but it still shows my old one. Don’t tell me I have to contact MS support for this.
Sign off Note:Everything in this world has its drawbacks. Some rise above all these things and emerge as winners. I am sure MS is one such web site. It has its problems but don’t we all just love it? I do! And hence this cribbing. I want it to be perfect.

I just found out that if I had written a review on ’’General Thoughts on MS’’ somewhere in the distant past, I cannot post a new review on the same topic now. I have to edit the old one! I don’t want to lose my history on MS. Hence I am posting it here. Sorry for the wrong category selection. Someone! Please prove me wrong.
