MS community center is a place is like a hotel lounge, when the members hang around and relax, and the guests gets a chance to peep in and look at the members.

What is community center
As the name implies, this page is where you can find out what is happening with the MS community, what are the hot reviews, who are the hot members and who are the ’dead’ ones.

News, basically is the start frame and tells us what’s up in MS. Probably a purging mechanism to be introduced, to remove old items??

Member News is newly introduced and is a forum where in members can post in news about a cause or an event. It was a nice thing to do. Thanks a lot, MS. The only problem is that its not very visible. Why don’t flash a message on the home page when a new member news is posted???

Current Contests
Basically, not much of interest for me, lists out the current contests which is being offered. As of now, Current Contests and News pages are almost the same, ie the info is duplicated. Hence, the purging criteria that I mentioned above can be put into place.

Hall of Fame?
Lists out some of the most popular members of MS, Starwriters and Non-Starwriters as well, the page is updated on a dynamic basis. But I feel that MS should publish the ’criteria’ used by the system - Whether its hits on the reviews, ratings of the reviews, hits on the profile page, hits by members + hits by Guests etc. Because, I am lost in this page. I would like to know what makes it tick, else its difficult to believe this black box.

Best Debut
Shows the popular new comers, again, don’t know how old or new you have to be to be featured here. All the writers are quite good (eg me ;-), but again a black box. MS needs to open this up, considering the fact that lot of old members, who are veterans too don’t know the logic behind the SORT. Probably, the ’satistics’ of the members, reviews rated, written, from when?? Hey, a ’Activity/Popularity Level’ can be introduced, a bar on a scale from 0-100, moving from red to green, the more greener the barthe more active he/she is. Active is summation of logins, reviews rated, reviews written and their ratings, comments posted, people trusted etc etc etc.

Hot Reviews
Boy, this needs a purging mechanism badly. If the most read reviews are the only ones that would feature here, then all the reviews here would be one year old!!! Need ’’recent hot reviews’’ and not just hot reviews. Probably a new section then???

Member Flagged and Mouth sealed
I feel that both can be merged as some info is duplicated. Members go there and see the supposedly problamatic members, but should put in a comment what was the reason. Third party copyright violation is mentioned, but which review violated that. Member abuse, what kind of abuse, by writing a review or by comment and when and where, it would be useful for members who missed the action to go and check up what actually transpired. :-) Man, I just love action.

A must for new members, all you doubts about MS and its features are described over here, from MS Points to Trust Circle, you can know about all. If you have not gone here, do that now.

Starwriter Guidelines
Describes what MS looks for in a Starwriter. But my personal opinion is that some of the guidelines are not being fulfilled in case of some. For e.g., Real photograph, active in commenting and rating review??? Purging criteria to be introduced for Starwriters as well. Shouldn’t the old make way for the new??? Its the law of nature.

Mouthshut Links
Its the only other interesting stuff on the page, where in you can find links that takes you to reviews writing on MouthShut. If you go to community center, MS links and click on community center now, you will see this review (Depending on how your reviews are sorted, Opinion rating, or date or trust circle). This is one place that I make a point to visit.
