My favorite reviewers on MS.

MS is full of varied kinds of writers, writers who make MS what it is. Some are humorous, some critics, some serious ones, some casual etc, etc. There are several writers whom I like. Let the countdown begin...


+ Elwing - Aditi Deopujari

Effort is her forte. She is never short of words and explains everything whether to her liking or not. Since she is an avid reader, she never lets any monotony to creep in in her reviews whatsoever. I read some of her reviews whereby I am not even familiar with the books’ names but her engrossing creations keep me bound. I always thought none can do justice to a classic like Sholay in a review, however large it may be. But she proved me wrong. Whatever she might feel but I think her reviews on Books are the best especially the one on the Lord of the Rings.

A few funny quotes would make Ur reviews even better.

+ Quadophile - Anis

The most honest critic I’ve ever known. He minces no words when he comments or writes. This is what makes him one of my favorites. It’s not that he is just a critic. But he makes no qualms about anything that isn’t to his liking. Also the way he deeply explains why he is not in the favour of something is another great quality of his. An avid photographer, music and PC buff, his writings on these three topics are gems not to be missed.

His reviews which I like the most are ’Celebrating Silver Jubilie on a Hot August Night’ and ’Sade’s String of Pearls’. He is one person whose comments I anticipate the most.
Alas! He will not be visiting MS as frequently as he used to.

+ Afrank - Sujata Sharma

Her reviews are mostly emotional and sensitive and provide some extremely good tips. One of the most popular writers on MS, she is liked by almost everyone here. Another quality of her reviews is the charm and beauty that she brings to seemingly mundane topics. She makes no qualms about her liking for dolls and teddy bears which just an example of her frankness. A regular feature of the ’Hot reviews’ section, she unknowingly popularizes a topic by simply writing on it. I like ’’Sweet Dreams... and stars in my eyes’’ the most.

He writes selectively but he writes very beautiful and passionate reviews. An avid (alright, that’s an understatement) fan of Khalil Gibran, his reviews never lack in thoughtful analysis. He is arguably the most active member at MS and there is always something special, something that makes you wonder, something that invokes awe, in the reviews he writes. A very down-to-earth and friendly MSian.
Among his reviews, I like ’’The moon is made of green cheese ’’ and ’’Don’t abuse life,worship it’’ the most.

+ Nikamma1112 - Raj Lalwani

I just love this guy’s reviews. He has an unending appetite for humour and he is simply one of the best endowed in this quality. He uses Hindi extensively, mainly to create impact in the punch-lines. His reviews are hilarious but never lack substance. Not in the least. There are different ways of putting the same thing and they are all equally good. The catch is that Raj has mastered the art of humour. His reviews are written in a binding fashion that U are always wondering what’s gonna make U laugh next.
I like his review on worst cricket commentators the most, though I find it hard not to like any of his witty and hilarious creations.
