After thanking all my friends at Mouthshut, I felt that a vote of thanks to Mouthshut.com was in order. Hence this review.

So all you guys out there....Thanks a lot for this wonderful
site!

Without going into any details about what this site is all about (I guess that if you are reading this review, you can always scoot around and find that out! It’s more fun that way), I will just talk in general about my feelings towards this site, which has now become a very important part of my life.

Well, when I first saw the remarkable logo of this site on the back of a rickshaw, I wondered what is this site about! I even thought that it may be a site for grieving husbands who fantasize about wives with their mouth shut! But the next moment, I had forgotten about it, as is natural for a Mumbaite with his fast mechanical life. But these guys are really a persistent lot, aren’t you, Faisal & co.? Sure enough, I came across another auto rickshaw displaying the MS logo. It was as if this site was beckoning me.(P.S.-Seeing the number of members who came to this site after seeing the MS logo on a rickshaw, I feel that Mouthshut should give the auto rickshaw union members a small dinner party!)

Well, it was not long before I found myself in front of the computer and typed www.mouthshut.com on my browser. And there, sure enough, the fellow with a cross on his lips greeted me. Seemed like a harmless, simple chap!

As I started scooting around, I realized the tremendous power of that harmless, simple chap! Before I knew it, I was registering myself as one more recruit in the army of Mouthshut!

Today, after being a 50-review-old member, I feel I am entitled to an opinion on the site itself. (By the way, I do not mind admitting, I would have married Mouthshut had it been a woman.....I love it so much! By the way, for emotional and practical reasons, I never said this if you ever come across my wife. Who? Me?? Never!!)

Some suggestions for MS

I feel that Mouthshut should break the bounds of a normal review site, and act as a crusader against under-average products and services. We have so many members writing on the bad services they received. Mouthshut should bring it to the notice of the concerned authorities. In fact, I feel that Mouthshut should not only bring it to their notice, but should also see to it that action is taken by them. This site is not a pay-site, which makes every opinion on this site a very genuine opinion. This is a consumers’ forum.

In fact, this is a request to the MS management to take steps in this direction. MS can collaborate with some newspapers, and start a weekly column on the consumers’ complaints.

I mean, there is really no point in telling each other that so-and-so product is not good, so stay away from it! Instead, something needs to be done about it. Especially reviews where a certain service has been unsatisfactory. I do remember someone at the Mouthshut office had informed me that they were thinking of bringing my experience of LTM Hospital to the notice of the Sion Hospital authorities. But then, gradually, it was forgotten. This is what should not happen!

Observe this chain:

The consumer spends his time and money on the products and services, and expects VFM(Value For Money) from them. If that is not the case, he writes on Mouthshut. The readers comment on it, and the topic is open for a public discussion. A verdict is reached in the comments section.

This is where the important part comes in the picture.

Something has to be done about it! The product manufacturer or the service provider needs to know what and where he is going wrong.

I had a talk with Faisal, CEO, about this on the April 18th Dial-the-CEO session, and he said that the MS is planning to take some steps regarding this! Please do, Faisal!

Some more on the Mouthshut Team

Having said that, this is for all you guys who have worked day and night to make this wonderful site.

You people have really done a marvellous job. It may be Faisal’s dream, but you all are the people who brought it into reality. It’s normal for a person to pursue his dream relentlessly and achieve it. But it’s highly commendable when a group of people join in and work towards realizing his dream....working relentlessly towards the goal, as if it is your dream. And I am sure that, as in most cases, somewhere on the way, the dream does become your dream!

So....congratulations on realizing your dream! Keep going! The end point of one journey is just a start point of another journey....a bigger journey. And with the kind of dedication and hard work you guys have, you have no stopping!

A Big Thanks To The Mouthshut Team....Thanks For Everything!

We sure are glad we are a part of this one big happy family. Thanks Aarti, Jasmine, Harry and each and every single person who has worked towards creating this paradise for us!
