I came across Mouthshut in August 2001 and have hardly missed a day in writing and reading the numerous reviews on this site.

Becoming a member is free and very straight-forward using your own details and choosing a user name and password.

There are endless possibilities for people to write, read, rate and add comments to opinions and reviews in categories such as: sport, travel, health and beauty, and many more.

Points are awarded in the following manner:
10 points for registering.
5 points for writing a review.
2 points for someone reading your review.
1 point for rating a review..

The site is very easy to manage and circumvent. Choosing a subject from the above referenced categories is also easy. The difficult part is writing enough informative information to enable the reader to be interested in either the product reviewed or the subject matter. More than often the reviews are well written and informative.

I really enjoy reading reviews on this site, as they are from all over the world by international members.
Some subjects cover items of interest as you would never find out about them normally,
eg ’’India Times’’ newspaper.

One other plus point about Mouthshut is the e-mails you can receive from other members. I particularly like this because you are made aware of what other members feel about you and your reviews.

Another good thing about Mouthshut is Mouthpad. This enables you to write about something that is not on the site at present. The speed at which Mouthpad operates is quite amazing, which is of help to me.

The Trusted Circle enables you to have friends that rate highly of you and that you find helpful.
