My first review: I chose to wrtie about Mouthshut.
I have been reading MS review on various categories, for tha past 2 years.

My first point: On most of the reviews I have read in MS (on bikes, cars, & sharebrokers), the majority is -ve review. Well, thats useful in a way; as we get to know about the cons and can be more alert.
However, when I read only the cons about all of the available options, I get confused to the point of quitting to buy  that particular product.

I agree, its simple human psychology: to publicise only the -ves, and keep to oneself all the +ves.

In this context however, if I come across an article (rare) appreciationg some product, I get very sceptical as to whether the review is written by the dealer himself!  That doubt severly erodes the credibility of the review too.

In fact, I get quite confused every time I read the reviews before making any decision.
Indeed, this is not a special situation with MS. The same thing happens when we personally contact many people for their feedback & reviews on anything.

To sum up, its a great work by MouthShut, to bring all the feedbacks at one place. MS has made life simpler. One needn’t run behind friends, and friends-of-friends and their friends to get info. It would be lots better if there is some mechanism to add "trust" to the reviews !  :-)
