Started as a platform for the aam junta to talk about their despairs and woos’ on the high handedness of the brand wagon, MS came as a breathe of fresh air to ventilate your views on these brands and visualise them squirm! 2000 was the birth of MS and today its growing into a very fine young man bracing for complete stardom. The Ms platform is now become a place to hang out, talk to your buddy’s, thrash the issues of what I think and what you dont think, and still maintain a very healthy camaraderie amongst all and sundry!!
If there is a new release, (be it a car, a movie, a bike, a water purifier, a book... be it anything), there are at least a dozen people expressing their opinions with a lot of background search and publish it for others to benefit from. The reviews, in spite of their limitation of 7500 words serve as a base for people to connect and then reconnect via the comments section. MS is like a family,where there are approvals to a review and also disapprovals to the same. There are praises showered upon as against absolute unhappiness showered upon some. Some reviews invoke arguments termed as
HEALTHY exchange of thoughts and some even reek of rank jealousy!! Its like a huge family where no emotion is spared. Advices are offered and the author goes through the angst and anxiety of who to listen to. Then theres peer pressure as well. If an id has written a review and has only VU’s the other id also has to have the same VU status. Arre yaar!! Kaise hoga yeh?? There is a limitation to it and that limit is
YOU!! You have to hone yourself to those levels of commitment of writing and regularly, you have to maintain that you read other reviews properly and rate them as they merit and have enough reasons to back it or else... Also what needs attention here is a very strict vigil of the reviews that keep pouring in! Man if this flow of reviews is even looked at statistically we can boast of a lot of ELECTRICITY to save MUMBAI from power burnouts :) these reviews actually FLOW like water!! Meaning, if you are not a regular and you miss the review of your commenter and rater, Keep your MOUTH completely SHUT and say that you have been on a long trip out and hence lot of catching up to do!! OR else you have had it my friend.. :)
The power is with us CONSUMERS. We experience we write, we express we expect and we relish or we explode!! EXPERIENCE: Any product / advice comes only from first hand usage and hence any write up is to be merited because of its genuine use by the reviewer!! We as readers have to merit it and / or demerit it by the sheer knowledge of the reviewed product or of course because you are a user too!! Or its just that you are too GYAANI on it!! READ REVIEW, because remember this kind of an open forum encourages members to come back provided you give him enough feed to come back!! Comments on reviews are a sore point because you might find that one review had
x member ratings and
x comments and your review did not. Now why did this happen?? Did you give a thought that the members who rate are also avid writers and they also have it on their minds that their reviews have to be read and commented on too?? Have you done that? Good if you have but hey was your comment in any way derogatory?? Did you leave enough reasons for such a comment?? or even rating?? All these are pressures that keep going on in the minds of the writer and the REVIEWER!! (Shanti kindly excuse for usage of id..LOL) So i guess its
important to express BUT express correctly and politically!
RELISH: You relish the accolades you get!! The ratings of VU and the number of comments. The banter has to be healthy and not turn to name calling which often happens here. The STAR writers know that there reviews are going to be rated and commented on but also notice that STAR writers are politically correct in choosing there product reviews as well :) There is no rocket science here but you have to be
alert, use logic and use your immense humor quotient to keep your name (id) featuring now and again!!
EXPLODE: This is not in anyway related to what happens in warfare but if you want to watch a very politically correct warfare step into the comments zone and you shall witness a war of words. Its healthy!! Thats what they all say but believe me its not!! There is no glory in admitting to your mistake here but there is a small amount of win compensation for being pointed out and to accept it!! Because this admitting may not result in your earlier reviews being reviewed with interest or even more people flocking to give VU to your reviews its limited only to that space.. You have to
win your audience by being judicial and political!!Popularity is based on your writing and your commenting!!
