To be honest, Pragya (Forever1) inspired me to write this. I have been wanting to say many things about this wonderful website but for some reason have been holding it back. Today when I read Pragya’s

review, I decided to let my views be made public too... :-)

I heard about the odd sounding website from someone in my company. They said "have you read the damning reviews about our company in this website? People are writing all sorts of things out there. This website is encouraging more and more people to do mudslinging against our company... Something should be done to stop them...."

I decided to become a member mainly to get quick access and find out what is happening. At our company we are focussed on fixing root causes of customer complaints and ensure that they find full satisfaction and delight while dealing with us.. This, I thought, is a good medium to capture customer complaints that may not have come to my attention otherwise.

One thing led to the other and I was so enamoured with the power of this site that, somewhere along the way, I got hooked and started writing my own reviews. I felt that this is a place where I can state what I feel and feel good about it. I also thought that my views might prove useful to people who would be wanting to consult before buying any product or using any services.

Now I am addicted to this site. I do not contribute many reviews - but have a big list of possible topics. Some of my friends also know about this addiction of mine and every time we go to a new place, a new hotel, fly in a new airline etc., I have friends asking me when I am going to write a review... Ah, if only I had so much time..

I feel that many more features could be added to the site that would make it even more powerful and attractive. I have also offered my free services to Jasmine for this purpose (she is interested but not sure about my creativity !!).

My immediate aim is to get 1000 points on the MS Points and then aim to add another ’0" to it... Although I do not know how to encash it !!!

One thought that bothers me though is whether all this reviewing / blogging has any use.. Do people really read such sites before taking a buy decision ? Do people really trust completely unknown peoples views? I think it is a good idea to discuss such issues and come up with ideas to resolve them.

The other thing that bothers me is that there is a set of people / members who are most active in the site.. They read all the review and write comments.. But are we really reaching out to the millions of customers?

Finally, one last thing that bothers me is this - Is the site being used for completely unrelated issues.. Do people use this site to publish random thoughts rather than product / service reviews? Is there any check on unwanted / objectionable matters being published ??

Anyways, I thank the entire team of MS for providing such a wonderful site !!!
