Hi,
I was first connected with Motorola in L6 era. I bought that in Nov’05, then I replaced my L6 with Motorola SLVR L9 phone pretty recently.
There are a few good things and of course a few
bad things, which I noticed about this cell phone , as shared below -
Please note- most of my comparison is done with L6 era phone.
Good things - 1 - auto key pad lock which was missing in my previous L6 phone is suitably placed in this cell 2 - moto ID, which is a new concept, not found in earlier phones 3 - A2DP (connent bluetooth head phone) 4 - crystal talk - unique feature for clear voice transmission 5 - audio quality is good 6 - camera is good (earlier VGA cameras were not good) 7 - improved, broad and long lasting key pad (previous key pads didnt have scratch free key pads) 8 - additional keys are better now (for selecting FM directly etc.) 9- digital audio player like winamp is a good feature 10- games are good too.. but I think that could have been improved

Bad things - 1- couldnt find how many more nos. I can store in phone, as no explicit phone no. capacity display option 2- find option has no "find/search" option, no - iTAP english 3 - navigation not user friendly - no clear navigation as in nokia 4- graphics are pathetic - still struggling to give good asthetics 5 - inbuilt tones are too obsolete to listen to 6 - music player skin is ugly 7 - inbulit wallpapers are less and ugly 8 - photo call is not good - photos look blur and hazy 9- speed dialing is bad 10 - couldnt find the phone location of a contact 11- speed dial setting are clumsy not at all easy 12- basic things like speaker on option doesnt come on the main screen when you make a call, it comes under options header, which is only possible when other person has picked the call, which means if u want to talk to person in speaker mode on, then you need to first plead for his few seconds, set the mode and then talk... which seems absurd... why this basic feature is not set as soon as I place a call, never mind its motorola, no wonder they are still struggling to capture a fare share of market 13- given micro SD slot this time... which keeps on showing... "inserted card removed, setting might be changed" of and on, I think this is some mechanical glitch
