Unbiased Detailed review on w375. Review on Motorola W375

1) Style and Looks

This would be the only sole reason you would go for this phone. Very sleek and stylish is what you would say when you first see the phone.

Infact at first look, the phone itself projects that it looks like a high end cool phone.

One reason for this could be the 3'Indicators' on the outside.

When you get a call from some1 on your contacts, a green Circular Indicator lights up. If its from an unknown number its an amber coloured indicator.(This flashes for half an hour if its a missed call)

If there is a new message, a blue'message' icon lights up

If its a low battery or being charged the orange coloured battery indicator lights up

2)Screen and Display

The screen size and image clarity was WAY BETTER than what is shown on the product brochure/website.I think this was so because for some reason Motoroal took picutres of the phone with some really dull wallpapers.

3)Keys

This is where the phone causes problems. Its that the key's arent very tactile to use.

With the W375, the user has to'press' a little harder than any other phone. The keys arent responsive enough and it really irritated when you're a messaging kind of person(Like me)

Plus the only thing that seperates the keys are a small' ridge' which doesnt really serve the funciton of seperating each key from the next

4) Software

Another Thumbs Down. It's not that the interface isn't good, but it isnt fast enough.Go to the menu and hit and direction key like 10 times, and u get to c the lag come into effect. This is hair pullingly irritating because u always mis judge the'lag' and u end up in the wrong menu selection

5) reliabiltiy after 1 Years use

I have never seen a phone detoriate so much in less than a years use! The Keypad was horrible to use even at start, but it has detoriated so much that I now have to use my nail to type in messages! Ouch!

6) Extra features

Really no point on this topic.

It doesnt have extendible memory,

The onboard memory is(drum roll).400 kb!

Thats it.That means u can store just about 3 or 4 wallpapers . no music.ringtones maybe, but wahts the point.

The camera is vga and its so embarasing to show ur pics to others coz they're so lame.

The voice quality isnt really the best but in league with other phones of the same price.

Pros:

1) best looking phone for its price.

2) Outside Indicator'light' is totally awesome especially when all 3 are on at the same time

3) Excellent Screen(for its league)

Cons:

1) Horrible Keypad.Gets worse day by day

2) Really sluggish software interface

3) Back battery panel slides off way too easily. Sometimes even when taking it out of your pocket.

4) 100 messages only(inbox+outbox)

and 100 contacts only

Final Verdict:

Wouldnt recomend it because the texting is horrible. Plus it doesnt last too long.

Looks too stylish but whats the darn point if its so difficult to type n select menus!

Also I dunno if this is a bug or somehting, but the'Delete message in inbox' just doesnt work. I dont know why but whenever I want to completely emtpy my inbox, I resort to deleting all messages indiependtly by first opening them and then heading over to'Delete'

Why on earth doesnt the'Deleta all messages' feature work? Especially with a 100 message limit, my inbox gets full all the time
