Hi, I have been using this phone for a while now, thought I would give my 2 cents about it. Well actaully this phone is not available in indain market, not sure how useful is my review.

I am big fan of flip phones mostly for their looks and style. Motorola makes best of them (Samsung also makes them but I dont like their high price stategy). I was looking for new phone when I had to give my motorola C350 to my brother (as he was giving his to my dad... this I can upgrade my phone). My search for started and ended with V70.

If phone to just talk and it adds style and class to you then why you have to change it. If you are person like me and looking for a phone then this is the one. After closely seeing this phone either you find an excuse to buy or you steal it. When it came to market I didn't give a damn to it. I tought motorola phones are funky and only for party going people who wears tight bootcut jeans, leaves half of the shirt buttons open (sorry I shouldnt be talking about this now). I am a formal guy, after reading some reviews (in UK sites), seen it closely on the web, I have decided to give it a try. I was also thinking of T720 (excellant flip phone for looks) but it has more flaws. Many shops does not have it as motorola stopped it. I was managed to get one in sangeetha at 10k... sounds like a great deal to me... actually it is...

You wont see this kind of phone in market unless motorola reintroducs it with problems fixed. Its piece of art, style and class. Phone silver finish is smooth and shiny. It looks great from any angle. You open it by rotating the cover. Bottom part of phone looks solid where as flip (top part that rotates 360 degrees) is flimsy. Its thin, can be breakable easily. Phone sound quality is great, thanks to external antenna.

An internal antenna in this phone would have made more good looks at the cost of signal quality. It took sometime to handle the calls with one hand. And be careful phone can slip easyly from hand because it s smooth silver finish and THE CURVES. Most of the art in this phone comes from curves it got. I dropped it once I fell more worse than a scratch on my new car. Another issue I had was positioning the ear peice while talking. After some use you get teh exact positing on you ear. When you open the phone it looks more good. The blue illuminating kaypad looks great.

So here are the negatives about this phone. These may be the reason for not seeing the phone now.

Keypad - has small keys, very difficlut to hold the phone and key in the number with one hand. You can use the phone when it is closed. But forget about it, operating scroll up down buttong on the phone requires patiance. I use almost no SMS so I manage.

Screen - not very good but different. Its white chars on black background. 3 lines for display, it makes very small chars. A close look is needed everytime. you can change it to 2 line but thats not nice. I like the clock screensaver. My phone has a display problem. When I change the contrast I see whitish background that makes very difficult to read, not sure this is a problem in all.

SMS- holds around only 10 and typing is difficult. this phone is not for SMS user or college going kid. Sound quality: is very good.

Features: No bells and whistles here. it has GPRS. It has FM radio but who will buy a saparate headphone (FM only works with headphone). There is no alarm but you can do it using reminder in databook. Its funny to add an event in calender that say ''wake up'' and set a reminder for it. I never used browser or games. They can't be great with such a small keyboard.

I use this phone for its looks and class. Nokia phones are best for features and robustness but this phone is certainly not. I am not planning to change the phone until iget mp3player, pdawith windows xp, 3+mp digi cam in one phone.
