I had bought this Linux based Smart Phone from Motorola a year ago.

The idea was to buy a total gizmo that can do almost anything.

Pros

=

1) The battery back up for this phone is pretty good. I could use it without recharging

for 3 days.

2) As it supports Java, you can install tons of java applications

and Games that are available on internet. But since the number of keys

on this phone is very less, Games may not be fun neverthless lots of useful

applications exist.

3) It has the 'till memory lasts' voice recording which is another amazing feature.

Note that you can record even during the call. so you can record a complete

conversation (i.e. both sides).

4) It supports amazing multitasking.

for instance once I was on a long long Official call

which lasted like 1 hour. Since I wanted to record it so that I can go over it later, I

was recording it. during that time I got some sms'es which I read and replied too.

also there was a 'to-do alert' that popped up in between !!!

During all this time, the call didnt drop and the recording didnt stop.

5) The user interface is very customizable.

we can select where to place which application.

The theme to use for the UI etc.

6) Supports a variety of File formats for office documents, like ms-powerpoint, ms-word, ms-excel

it even supports pdf files !!

note that it only gives options to read these files not edit / create them.

7) The reminder application and the calender application are very helpful to manage your day-to-day

activities.

8) Almost forgot to mention the best feature. this has a support for the USB plug and play. Once the driver is installed on the PC, just plugging in the phone will show the phone memory as a network drive. a Drag and Drop interface will work for the file transfers !!

Cons

====

1) The Camera quality can improve.

2) The video capture has a limit of maximum 5 mins duration. I wish it had a till memory last capture.

3) There is no support for external memory. Total user memory is 52 mb which is not great if you want to

store a lot of mp3s, documents etc.

I wish it had a support to external memory.

4) It doesnt have the streaming feature.

5) It doesnt have support to the EDGE network for high speed data applications like Downloading / Streaming.

6) The Quality of mp3 playback is not great when compared to the 'music phone' Motorola E398.

7) Infrared in this phone was quite pathetic in connecting.

I tried to connect to another phone (which didnt have bluetooth) and transfer some contacts information

it gets disconnected by itself !!!
