Jennifer Lopez and Jane Fonda star in this funny movie about Jennifer Lopez and the relationship she has with her future mother-in-law Jane Fonda.
Jennifer Lopez plays Charlie, a temp.  She is a dog walker, secretary, caterer, painter,  and a whole other assortment of things.  One day when shes out walking some dogs she sees Kevin, Michael Vartan.  Then when she’s getting coffee in a coffee shop she bumps into it again.  Then third time lucky she bumps into him again at a party her friend is catering for.  Things hit it off from there.
Kevin’s mother is Viola, Jane Fonda, a TV show host not unlike Oprah.  Then she gets fired and replaced by a younger model and on her last episode she attacks the blonde airhead that she is interviewing, causing her to be thrown into an mental rehab centre where she learns to ’change her ways’.
On her release she learns that her son, Kevin, has a girlfriend, Charlie, and she’s not very happy about it.
’Playing dress up are we?’  Viola tries to outshine Charlie on their first meeting which is when Kevin proposes.
’When a woman marries a man she marries his mother too, so I’m going to drive her crazy.’
The story then goes through Viola’s attempts to scare off her future daughter in law and Charlie’s final retaliation to try to even the scores.
Wanda Sykes plays Ruby Viola’s assistant and is Queen of the hilarious one liner’s.
This is a very funny comedy and is hard not to like.
I recommend it to everyone.
All around it is a light hearted movie and everyone should watch it!
