Better than the Best. Review on Mitsubishi Lancer - Petrol

It is a 3rd hand Dec-2001 model. I purchaced it in Aug-2008 (GLXi Petrol). Initially I felt being a third hand car there will be a lot of problems, I had dreamed of this car since it had launched in India......

I have driven it on all kind of roads. I have completed 14000 kms. When I purchased it, it was 57000 now it is around 70000+. I have driven it for 550 kms stretch in a day without Fatigue.

Personaly what I feel is that the one who owns a product can give a detailed and good review about that perticular product.Test drive or a friend’s car can’t built a mind set of writing a review.

It is really a performance car. Pickup is Unbeatable. Engine is so smooth that it won’t give any noise while driving and in idle running also. Excellent road grip, very reliable and dependable. Gear lever is as smooth as cutting butter with a knife.

Mileage is really really UNBELIEVABLE.Initially I was getting mileage of 9-10 in city and 12-15 on highways. After few weeks I got a chance to travel from Satara to Mumbai, with my Uncle. (My Uncle was in State Transport as Driver). He had driven almost all kind of cars on all kind of roads. He gave me some practical advices about car driving. He says that, any car can give you mileage of 25-30. He says suddenly accelerating & retarding at high speeds consumes petrol beyond our imagination. Let others overtake you but never change your speed suddenly. Accelerating beyond 1500 rpm in city also consumes petrol a lot..... Drive not more than 90 kmph, you won't get good mileage. Fill-up petrol tank in the early hours of morning when atmospheric tempreture is less, which gives you more petrol, as it comes in liters it shrinks due to cold temperatures. Also whenever you fill-up petrol, make it full tank.

After following I realized and after that my mileage suddenly changed. In city it is around 12-15, out side it is around 20 and on Express highways it gives 22.5 to 30. Believe me it's really not a joke.the figures are given with A-C. Maintenance cost is only servicing after every 5000 kms and oil change whatever. It has basket seats while other cars including Honda City, Skoda, Ford Ikon etc....are having theatre seats. Basket Seats Enables you very comfortable long distance jurneys. It has electric mirror adjustment, power steering, power windows, steering height adjustment.... everything a luxury car should have.As compaired with other cars electronic gizmoz is not there in the car but performance, looks, space inside, powerful AC andcomfort are uncompairable.

My next car will be a new brand Lancer!!!
