I feel and believe that Mithun Chakraborty is - THE SUPERSTAR OF THE MILLENNIUM, and so do many many others. I would like to say a lot about this great, versatile, unique, down-to-earth actor, but am short of words. We all saw him participate in the Airtel Cricket Match played in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, recently for raising funds for the Tsunami victims. No, it was not at all surprising to see him participate, because this is not the first time he has come forward to help the needy and distressed. He has done it throughout his life and is still doing it. I am all the more impressed and moved by this kind gesture of his. He is not hungry for name and fame and that is the reason you never find him amongst the so-called Stars of the Millennium and Superstars of Bollywood for the showy Award functions begging for the front seats. He never craves to be in the limelight. People who are jealous of him say that he planned his comeback. Why should he? He never manipulated things...in fact he does not know how to use others. He set his own standards and terms of working. With age Mithunda has earned more respect and love from the audience and his fans. His acting talent is unquestionable and so is his business sense. He is one of a kind and is a celebration of ordinariness. He is a beautiful human being and that is what makes him so special....AND THAT IS WHY HE IS MY HERO...THE REAL HERO.
