This player is very compact and is easy to carry anywhere and also with very good features, this player can play all data discs (Photos, Videos and Audio), it plays all video files even if they are not written in a proper format ie., DVD or VCD format, it also plays rewritable DVD and CD's without any problem, thus you can just burn your CD/DVD, R/RW in data format with files that this player can recognize (MP3, WAV, MPEG- DVD and VCD compatible files, and also JPEG image files) and play it in this player and you can select the file that you want to play by using the explorer interface that this player has.

Other additional features include the casette player and recorder, Radio, Full function remote control (but the remote contller's power seems to be too less), Can operate with battery, Attached Speakers (An additional feature which makes it portable even if the sound output is not so good)

Coming to the cons of this player the first thing that comes in my mind is the power of remote control (its very difficult to control the unit with a remote control from a distance and it operates only in a few angles), and the second one is the unusual sound that from the player moter I get when I play Movie DVD's- it sounds something like a mixer and also the player vibrates! (quite an unusual thing, never seen in any DVD player).

But eventually it reduces and finally stops as we continue watching the movie. We must also be very very carefull not to touch the lens while placing and removing the discs as the DVD player door is manually operated Shutter type- this can also be considered as an additional advantage sometimes as we can remove or place in discs even when there is no power supply.

I am using this player from past 2 months with moderately heavy usage (5 to 12 hours a day) and its working perfectly fine for me, I actually went to buy a philips 2 in 1 player (Casette and DVD) but I saw this product in the show room and didnt will to buy it as it was from a new and an unknown company but later seeing its featurs and price I felt it was worth a try.

Coming to durability, I have no idea as i'm using this player only from past 2 months, only time can answer this, but looking at its current performance I feel it will be quite durable!
