Due to recent deaths in MIOT from flood brought my memory back on my experience had 10+ years back.
I had gone for a ligament surgery for my shoulder and got admitted in the MIOT hospital, After spending night there, next very early morning I was prepared for surgery with enema and other things I went till the operation theatre I was told the instrument required for the surgery was broken and had to go back. I thought this as one of case.
Next day the same routine happened when I was pushed out of the service lift in bed again they found that the surgery cannot be done as the instrument has not arrived from Singapore. I could not understand how can they plan a surgery even without a basic check list.
When it continued 3rd day I got so pissed off that I did not want to continue in MIOT and asked for checkout, they billed me around around Rs.3500(this bill amount was in 2003). For the incompetency they displayed and the delay was due from their side they charged me equivalent to high end star hotel. I was able to get this Mohandas on the floor and explained my plight pointing that hospital should have atleast checked the basic availability of instrument before taking me out every morning till operation theatre and take me back to my bed. Like all other reviews on him, he showed his character refused to accept that it their mistake. I asked him directly if he is running a hotel or hospital after which they refused to pay back my deposit for my surgery even after we agreed to deduct the bill amount(the total amount~33000) and had to go through systems and references to get the partial amount of money back. THEY ARE MONEY MINDED AND WILL PULL ANY TRICK TO MILK MORE MONEY FROM 2003 AS PER MY EXPERIENCE. BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN HANDLING THESE PEOPLE.
