Hello.

I used to read books in my spare time when I was between the age 20-23. Now I stopped reading the books for some reasons . Once, I was handed over this book by father to read . I read the title of the book and got excited hoping it might be story of the children but my guess was totally wrong.

Midnight's Children is a novel written by Salman Rushdie that deals with India's struggle from British colonialism to Independance . The book won both the Booker Prize and The james tait black memorial prize in 1981.

Midnight Children is about the events in india both before and after the independence and partion of india. The narrator of the story is sallem sinai born at the same time when india got independance from British .

The book begins with the story of the sinai family with events leading up to india's independance and partition. saleem is born at midnight of 15 th august 1947. He later discovers that the children born in india between 12a.m. to  1 a.m. on 15th august are bestowed with special powers . the book also narrates about the poltical events taken place to get freedom from bitish. the book once in while has a boaring narration that can lead you to stopping. but I recommend you to read the whole book . you will learn atlest the struggle of indians.

I had read the book in four sitting because I found it boaring to read  beacause I used to not like such books .
