I recently bought a Canvas Doodle 3 on 19th Aug from Planet M in Dwarka. On the face of it, it looked ok but when we started using it, it turned out to be a BIG DUD. Let me explain the pain points:
The speaker given at the back has such low volume that you to bring it close to your ear to hear any sound if the TV is running nearby or people are talking nearby. It is audible nicely when there is no activity/no noise, but I guess it should be heard even when there's some other activity happening otherwise why have a speaker for sound.
The three capacitive touch buttons at the bottom of the screen lack proper touch and you have to really press those buttons.
Same goes for the screen, it is not very responsive to touch and I have to press a little harder.
Took the phone to the service center in Dwarka and they also confirmed that this is a defect with the brand and their speakers produce very low sounds
Not expected from a phone which is being marketed as a premium phone. Screen size is 6.2 inches which is the only saving grace, otherwise I don’t see any benefit in buying this phone.
I used to have a Samsung Core and a Lava Iris 501. Samsung’s touch and speaker quality was awesome. Lava also I was very happy with the performance and I can say its touch and speaker quality was much much better than Doodle 3. Only problem with Lava was the sound was a little less in the ear speaker but the back speaker was very loud and clear. I had the Lava for 1.5 years and the Samsung Galaxy Core for same period and never experienced any such problems like I saw with Micromax.
I was planning to buy some more phones of Micromax for my parents if this phone went well but seriously very disappointed. Advising all my friends and relatives also to stay away from this brand.
