Value for Money:

Well I haven't come across any reliable internet review for this phone, so writing my own.

I have almost a 2 year experience now of using this device, so have used it well.

There might be three reasons I can see one may use this phone:

  1. Someone really close to you gifted it to you and so you're using it. (case with me:P)

  2. You are really short on money and couldn't afford anything else.

  3. You are a first time user or probably got it free with something else.

So here are key attributes, reviewed:

Talking/ Call quality:

Decent. But the earpiece that comes with the phone doesn't perform that well. Call recording is a nice option they have given.

Battery:

For an average user, will last for four days with about a half an hour talk time and 1.5-2 hours of earphone music play everyday.

Sturdiness:

This feature is the best. Very sturdy phone. I dropped it thrice in rain and slushy puddles. I drop it on the floor everyday, ad still no issues. Of late, the screen does tend to go white though, but that aside, very tough phone, doesn't look like it but it is, very sturdy.

Camera:

Bad. It's just VGA and takes what a VGA can do. Low res pics, Jerky videos. Can't blame it though, just a 2000 rupees phone.

Storage:

-Internal: Pathetic, just 45 kB. Absolutely of no use.

-External: 8GB. The phone DOES NOT come with an external free SD card, you have to buy your own. But its okay, you can't do much with the phone anyway, so this much of storage is enough.

Photos/ Wallpapers:

Bad. The phone hangs when you try to open a large photo. Does not open photos that are more than~2MB in size. There aren't too many options for themes, wallpapers either.

Music:

-Decent quality, just that you have to buy your own earphones, the ones given free with the phone are pretty shitty.

Radio:

-Decent quality. Just have a good set of earphones. They provide radio recording too, which is nice.

Videos:

-Only the lowest quality videos can be played. And forget playing videos that are anywhere more than 2-3 MB is size.

Sound Recording:

Not great, it can't catch sounds below a good level of loudness. So a normal conversation or a lecture cannot be easily recorded.

Touchscreen:

Surprisingly good resistive touch screen for this price. Does not fail very often.

Interface:

-Number pad: Appears while calling. Good one, large number keys.

-Text: Really bad. It is the conventional.

SMS:

-Storage: Bad storage. Gets full at around 150 messages.

-Sending SMSs: Very irritating to type on a conventional ABC type screen on a touch pad rather than the buttons. This is the most irritating feature of the phone.

-Language: Does not support other languages

-Predictive Text (T9 dictionary type): Very bad. The dictionary is very small, and there is no option to add new words

Internet: Forget about it

-There is no point of thinking about internet on this phone. It cannot even use 2G networks for internet properly. There is no way even mobile Google can open on it. I would blame it on a 45 KB internal memory. This phone cannot operate internet even thought the company claims it can

Phone book:

-Only 20 characters allowed in names. Mnemonic names will be hard to put in. Contacts can be stored on external memory which is nice.

Overall:

For Rs. 2000, a very  nice buy. But if you have used phones before, then its really boring. It just cannot have more features, can't blame it due to the low price.

Overall, 3.5 out of 5
