Hello, I had given my funbook P500 for repair at the Service Centre in Thane(Eternity Mall). They first asked me to pay the non- refundable inspection charges of Rs.281 in order to find out the cause of problem. They told me that I would get a call within 1 or 2 days after inspecting it and to tell the estimated cost to repair it. First of all, they took 5 days to get back to me after repeated follow up from my side.
Then came the shocker. They told me the charges to repair would be Rs. 7250/- as according to them the tablet is internally damaged even though there is no problem from the outside. When I heard the amount, I was just stunned. I once again asked them to repeat the amount as I thought I would have heard it wrong. But then, when they repeated the amount I just couldn't make out as to how can they charge this amount at a price where one can definitely buy a new tablet.
I told them that my tablet is under warranty period but they refrained saying that internal damage is not covered under warranty. Therefore, because of this hilarious repair charge of Rs. 7250/-, I had to tell them that this is not possible for me and had to take my tablet back. Now tell me why I shouldn't term this as a clear case of looting or exploiting of a customer. Has any of the branded companies, I mean Multinational companies ever indulge such practices? I really don't think so, but when it comes to an Indian Company one can be rest assured that it can go to any extent in order to fleece its customers. Micromax , if this continues you will be son history.
Someone has rightly said Baap Baap hota hain ( This I am referring to Global Companies) I will simply end my review with the term saying that Raste ka maal saste main. That is the reason why they charge comparatively less price at the time of sale of its products.
