No contract, unlimited calls

Everything else

Ahhh... Metro.  When you have to pay a bill- good luck!  You will receive an almost threatening, URGENT text reminder that your bill is due many days beforehand.  They call it a "convenience
charge" to walk inside a store and wait in an hour long line rather than to deposit a check off into some unknown drop that is nowhere near the building (i.e.- Sunrise & Madison, 95610).  I was charged a five dollar fee for two accounts because they don’t have access to an automatic withdrawl once a month and I won’t get a discounted rate unless I do so.

The staff (consisting of one or two reps) are incompetent, rude, and cannot understand common English.  I am amazed that I knew more about Metro’s operations in one month than the teen behind the counter who was more concerned about her boyfriends visit.

The service fades in and out frequently, and I’m not one of those people who chats while driving, so I imagine the calls would drop often.  Picture quality is good, but troubles happen when you try to send a pic to someone who has another service provider.  I had Metro nine months ago, and my text messages would often send to unknown people that weren’t programed into my phone.  It hasn’t happened so far with the new phone, but sometimes my family and friends will not receive my texts until hours later- a few times never and the text was confirmed as sent.  With both the new and old phone experience, the longer the phone conversation, the more my ear is scorched from the battery overheating.  (I honestly did smell burnt hair)

Free games?  Free ringtones?  Haha.  Forget it!  Not unless you pay in advance and add credit to your PoS account, which I’m skeptical about since this $175.00 Samsung phone won’t even allow a trial browser for a list of songs.  I guess I will suffer and keep it on vibrate rather than listen to the ten obnoxious, complimentary tones.

I should’ve learned my lesson the first time.  The "no contract", cheaper fees aren’t worth the savings.
