I have changed my review and thoughts based on the latest incident. My car purchased from Metro Ford in Jan 2005 had been giving me trouble from day 1 where the RPM of the car would rev upto 2500 and stay there till for atleast 10-15 minutes. On bringing this up with the service technicians, I was always told that it is due to the MPFI and is expected behavior. Lately the car had got more difficult to drive and I decided to write a mail to Ford India.

I got a response from someone from Ford India and they informed me that the local dealer Metro Ford would pick up my car. Now begins the best part.

Metro Ford took my car and inspected the issue and confirmed that the problem existed. They gave me a replacement car for the period my car was with them under servicing and have kept me regurarly updated with the developments

I got my car back today and took a short test drive. The car felt good to drive and it seems that the issues with the RPM raising seems to have been ironed out. They have replaced the Throttle Sensor, Power Steering Hose and Power Steering Belt all amounting to 7000/- (6500/- spares & injector cleaning 500/-) The best surprise came when they didnt charge me anything for the spares that they replaced.
