Metro Ford Service is pathetic and sucks big time

I bought a Ford Fiesta 1.4TDCi from Metro Ford in Jan 2006. After my first service, I found the car steering vibrating a lot at high speeds. The car felt very unstable. So I left it with Metro Ford(on
21st Feb) to check on the problem. The same day I get a call from them saying that the car had met with a minor accident. I immediately rushed to their center. The actual damage done shocked me. Apparently, the mechanic decided to test the car at high speed in Bangalore city ( who the hell would do that !) and went over a divider. The underbody of the car was completely damaged. There was damage to suspension, radiator, AC condenser and alloy wheels. The front bumper was completely damaged. The transmission housing had been dislodged and the bolt had broken off. the damage was extensive. Even though they offered to repair the car, I refused since the car was new.  I asked them to give me a new car which they refused. I am now in consumer court fighting them for a new car.

I give a rating of zero for Service. Their sales dept is OK, but beware of the service guys. They will stoop to any level to save their asses. Call up Mr.Kumar at Metro Ford and ask them about this particular incident and see how they try to put the blame on the customer.



To add to the above, I have won the case against Metro Ford in the consumer forum. Never take sh** from such dealers. Just because they have a clause saying they are not responsible for any accidents by them does not absolve them of any blame. Its just a clause, not law.

For the people who left comments saying "you are unlikely to win", its exactly the reason why such dealers take customers for a ride. Its our attitude that gives them the strength to act  unprofessionally and irresponsibly.
