The wearer knows where the shoe pinches...is it true??

At the METRO SHOES,to buy a couple of pairs,Yeah,I always buy atleast two pairs.Generally,if I dont like one of them & it finds its way to the back of the shoe rack, there is consolation to be able to flaunt the other one.

OK,at the METRO,they swear by the best fitting shoes, how hard you may try to convince the salesman,he will never agree that the shoe can pinch, hurt or bite you.

Sahab, thoda pehnoge to khul jayega; saft leather hai, will soften further; thodi oil-cream polish lagayenge, andar se bhi naram ho jayega; aapke paer broad hai, kuchh din mein fit shape le lega...etc.

This happens everytime, but I was surprised that it was not to be this time. I said,"This shoe is hurting my little finger." He promptly suggested a different design.

Trying out the Tan shoe,I said,"This is not comfortable,"myself could not decide whether it was the shoe or the design or the size that was not right. He recommended another pair, though not as dark in color, but a nice shade.

I was also intelligent now(Ahem!!)to tell him, kahiin aisa to nahiin thode din mein dheela ho jayega,& he replied "Not at all Sir, it is a moulded upper into the sole, stretch ki gunnjayish hi nahiin hai."

He also suggested that I use an inner sole, just in case I felt it was loose on the fit later.

So this was the MAGIC @ METRO, when they swear by the best fitting shoes...insert or remove one...inner sole & that satisfies the customer about the right color & design they made and METRO makes them fit just right.

I got myself a Black Ambassador-Formal @ 2475/; a Tan Moccassin-Semi,slip on @ 2675/; a Deep Brown Formal slip on @ 1890/;A Tan two tone leather wallet @ 575/;2 pairs of medicinal socks at the METRO SHOES at Hi Street Phoenix at Parel.

Aha ! will post something on the socks and Hi Street another time.

But just a brief mention on both. You need to wear(we hear)Medicinal socks to understand what sole(soul) comfort is and Be here @ Hi Street Phoenix to really understand what spending a good time that brings soul(sole)comfort means.

On the Shoe experience:

General-Slip ons provide an oppportunity to wear and remove at will and under the table to ease the straining souls (Oops, soles) when no one is watching.

Specific-Ambassador,though gives a formal no-nonsense look and seems heavy, actually is the most snug from within & light weight too.

Tan Moccassin has a semi-formal, or more casual feel and matches up with most of my formals, semi and casual trousers.

Deep Brown is another formal wear & I even tried it with my crisp, straight Jeans. I think it went off well.

It is not just the occassion and the attire for us, Sardars,we also have to keep in mind our Turban color and shade for the accessories to match. Wearing a 6 meter long turban draped for long hours(pardon ! my turbanned brigade),it really pinches at the back of the ears and nape of the neck.

You may ask the Ladies who wear the Six yards of glorious Saree, especially in Summers, how it bites at the waist where you tuck it into the petti-coat.

So it actually is true that the wearer knows where it pinches, after all; whatever the salesman/men may say to tell you that they make it fit it the best.
