Have tried almost all whiskey available (known) in India. Single malt is something which if once got to your taste buds u can't leave them. Well back to McDowell's Single Malt.
On the Bottle Cover Box its written:
"McDowell's single Malt is a rich and enticing mid-amber in color.
It has a decidedly fresh cereal nose (ears of corn, dusty barley loft and green malt), with warm planed oak wood. The aroma then exudes a light fruity note, which becomes more complex when water is added, resembling tangerine and orange peel.
Simultaneously, the cereal notes become more nutty..making the taste sweet and pleasantly citric, with a light 'green' edge.
On the palate is has a medium length and a dry finish, leaving a faint buy distinctive chocolate aftertaste, with an intriguing thread of smoke, Truly a pedigreed Single Malt worthy of the most ecalted tastes" By Charles MacLean
However, I personally didn't ever found the chocolate and smoky flavor into it.
Also, its smells resembles McDowell No. 1 Whisky.
However, taste is good and it lefts your mouth dry. also, it give very smooth and light kick which lasts for some time.
Have Fun!!! and Cheers!!!
