Emm cee whisky. Review on McDowell No 1 Whisky

I dont drink for prestige or for social occassions. I drink to get smashed and McDowell No 1 Whisky is a good way.

Popularly known as Emm Cee this is one of my favourite whisky’s. Cheap enough

at about 60 bucks a quarter ($1 for 180ml) in bangalore, it packs a good kick and burns your throat going down.

The kick does not come in immediately, rather slowly. You wont even feel high after 180ml and might be wondering whass the scene. A couple of minutes after that you start flying. The kick stays longer than other brands. One way of getting high faster is to down a 60ml shot of Bagpiper gold whisky and then hit the mc.

Probably some chemical reaction but I swear it makes mc taste better and get you high faster.

It has a plebian image so you should buy it only for yourself.

Available in all liquor shops anywhere in the country, it is also one of the most duplicated booze. You have to inspect the bottle thoroughly, and make sure the seal is not broken. The liquid inside should be a deep golden brown.Sort of like walnut color. If it aint its probably fake.

Some people I know drink it raw but I prefer to add an equal measure cold water before downing it.

If you go to some wine stores near Banaswadi, or jalavayu vihar you’ll come across some construction workers who come in with their daily wage. He’ll order a quarter and pour the whole contents into a bottle. Then dip a couple of fingers in it an sort of flick the drops over the shoulder. Then he makes a face and gulps the whole thing down in one go. For a couple of seconds after that the dude will be stunned and then a quick shake of the cranium and the evening begins.
