Matheran - A beauty of Nature. Review on Matheran

Here's how my story goes for my one day trip to Matheran: We started aro upund 4 pm from Pune in express train to Karjat. We reached there around 6 and took local train( MEMU) to Neral railway station. As it was rainy days, the toy train ride was stopped. So we needed to take cab from there. They will take 80 rs per ride to take you to the starting point. Their driving was very rash but thrilling too. They are trained drivers. So no need to worry about safety. We reached the parking spot around 7.30 and started walking to see the different points. You need to buy 50 rs ticket for entering the hill station. First walk of almost one and half hours was very tiry because it was very humid and foggy and we were not able to see any points. The actual journey starts after that. Here are some beautiful points that we have visited: #Charlotte lake: We reached charlotte lake around 9 am and yoohoooooo we thought at least we got something to enjoy. It was a very good point where you can see the beautiful lake with mountains in background. Small dam was there where you can take bath and enjoy. The beautiful waterfall starts from the water of this lake. You can also visit Lord Point near to it which is a good place for photography enthus.#King George Point: This is also a nice point from where you can see the waterfall which starts from above point. You can take nice selfies with waterfalls from here.#Echo Point: Most dissipointed point as you will never heard extra ordinary echos from this point. Echos were just normal as you can feel elsewhere. It took our breath away but we didn't hear any echo.#Louisa Point: This is the best of all points that I have visited. The one point is just like lion's head. And you can get view of all other points from this point. You can sit and feel the height, breeze and beauty of nature from here. You can also sit and eat at this point but beware of monkies. There are too many monkies here and they can fetch any food from your hand or from your bag. We enjoyed a lot here.# Honeymoon Point: Not sure why this is coded as honeymoon but may be due to the thickness of trees around this point.# We have also visited Malang point, Rustomeje point, Sunset point on the way back to the starting point.It was very exhausted jounrney of 12 hours. We were not able to cover all the points as it was one day trip. We walked all of these places. You can also take horse ride if you don't want to be tired but we decided to roam on our own so that we can get trekking kind of expereience. Motor vehicles are not allowed after one point( Dasturi can parking) We returned to Neral through cab around 6 pm and by 8 pm we were able to reach Pune.
