Feels heaven on earth. Review on Matheran

I visited Matheran 2 years back with my parents. I was on a trip of Mahabaleshwar Panchgani Pratapgarh and Lonavala Khandala. I came to know that Matheran is good place to visit. I reached Nerul Station at around 8 o'clock in night which was the nearest station from Matheran.There were no trains in the night shift .There were no trains in the night shift.The car will take you from Neral to Aman lodge which is I think 50 min away from Matheran by walking. As their were no trains we have to go through the hills by walking:):)

The best part of walking was that many snakes roaming around road and I was sitting there and one snake pass over my foot. It feel risky.but people of matheran told me that the snakes here are not poisionous and will not harm you:)

The next best part of the trip was we didn't know that there were no vehicles inside the Matheran hill station and all over my trip no one has told me about this.what a suspense:P

There are many points to visit in Matheran and it is advised to visit there just after the rainy season as you can see waterfall and the greenery. The main thing that I should tell you please please visit in the daytime as you can get train directly from Nerul to Matheran without haulting at aman lodge.When ever you will visit there will be always cold there as there is a hill station so please carry warm clothes with you.

What to bring:-

1.warm clothes

2.painkiller.(you will have to walk around 12-15km per day if not using horse ride as its too costly

When to visit:-

you can visit anytime of the there but the best time to visit is just after the rainy season as you can see a beautiful scenery of the Matheran

How to reach:-

The only way to visit the Matheran hill station is by local train to Neral and then toy train to Matheran hill station.

Where to accommodate:-

There are a no. of luxurious hotels available in Matheran that one can book online prior to going there .if you have not planned anything don't worry you can get the room very easily as all the houses in Matheran has rooms in their house for the guest at low cost of around 500-700Rs.
