Matheran is almost 135 km from pune.its taking 3 and half hour to reach there.there has 12 to 13 point to see.
But each and every point has 2-3 km distance from each other.and there also horse ride available to visite every point but they take 500 rs. Only for to see one point so I will suggest to take atleast 10 to 15000 thousand only to see every point.and bike or car only can visit till entrance gate.
You can also visit to matheran via train.for it you have karjat stop from where you can take special train ticket to matheran.it is very beautiful to travel by train to matheran by experiancing incredible nature scenes than go to car.
Winter or june to jan is the best time to visit matheran.There are around 38 nice points in Matheran, including the Panorama Point that provides a 360 degree view of the surrounding area.
Important points are like rambag point, little chowk point, big chowk point, Olympia Race Course, Lords Pt, Charlotte Lake, Celia Pt, Echo point, sun set point, sun rise point, matheran railway station, louisa point, Pisarnath Temple you should visit.
