Travel Safari ..... Review on Matheran

When do people visit hill station or any tourist point?? It not necessary that we have a holiday and all stuff we also visit a tourist point when we want to feel relax and calm in case we are mentally disturbed from all of the corporate lifestyle, college activities etc.. For those who stay in Mumbai, Navi-Mumbai the best to go out for the picnic, to hang around with friends is “Matheran". When it comes to travelling the ones who stay in Mumbai or Navi-Mumbai, it’s not too far for them. Just by boarding local trains you can reach there. You have to get down at “Neral” station and from there you can either hire taxi or mini trains are also there which takes you directly to Matheran. Reaching Matheran from Neral hardly takes 40-50 minutes. The travelling experience from the mini train is quite adventurous and marvellous. The trains travel all through the ghats and steep slopes. The sharp turns gives you adventurous touch, feeling yourself between the floras and faunas gives you a relaxed feel. As Matheran is a hill station it is situated right on the top of the mountains. The view from there is just fabulous, remarkable and extraordinary at some point you can't even describe in words. The kindness, hospitality which we receive from the people in Matheran is commendable.

Matheran is a hill station so it’s obvious there are many hotels, lodges where we can relax. It is better if we do the bookings regarding the hotels prior to visiting the place as during weekends you won't find hotel reservation of your choice whereas during we don’t come across such problems. Time comes, when we start visiting the beautiful places over there the best part I liked about travelling over there is horse riding by paying the respective amount we can ride horse and visit the respective points. It is a great feeling visiting all the points but it is not possible to visit all points on a single go, so it is better we plan a 2-3 day stay at this place. The best place which I found over there is Sherlot Lake. It’s a beautiful lake between the mountains surrounding it is a small bridge which gives it an amazing look.

The restaurants along the bank of the river add to its extra features which attracts many visitors. Sitting around the bank of the river gives you a composed feeling. The main x-factor of this place is “climate” it is best during mid-winter when the calm breeze passes around the place gives you a remarkable, satisfactory feel. Finding yourself away from hectic schedule, the crowd areas, gives you a relaxed feeling. When it comes to shopping part it is quite expensive a middle class person doesn't find it affordable. But there are classic shops were we all the speciality products of that place which includes all the preservative added food stuff that are kokam juice, mango flavoured sweets and chocolates. The shops which attracts most of the visitors is the place where they sell all handmade products which include hats, caps, clothes and many more. The most visited place during sunset is the sunset point which gives you fabulous feeling in that environment couples enjoyed that place by having cool romantic poses for having a click the best pose of all time is the “titanic pose” you also find monkeys hanging around, playing at that place, many visitors play with monkeys to pass around their time some of them also offer food stuffs.

The beautiful part of Matheran is also observed under lights best place you find under lights is the hotels which you see in Matheran which attracts people. By spending day around visiting all the beautiful points the point comes to have a delicious dinner along with your friends or family members. The food I loved the most was the chicken handi with butter roti it was just mouth-watering, delightful, for me this place is remarkable it is best for those who can’t afford going far distance places because of their travelling issues. This place guarantees you with all satisfaction, relaxation which you expect. After completing your enjoyment by morning all the mini trains get started which help you to reach neral station from where you can board local train to your place. This is how your amazing outing comes to end and you will surely visit it for the next time. The best place to visit in affordable price and in convenient manner.
