I upgraded my car from a very reliable Alto VX 1.1 to the SX4 ZXI.  I liked the looks of this car and the fact that it looked solid. 

Besides I am a die-hard Maruti fan.  I have owned a Maruti car from 1987 onwards upgrading myself from the Maruti 800 to the Alto VX to the SX4.  The service I get from Maruti is outstanding.

          

I am a lady and I find driving this car such a pleasure.  It is uncomplicated and very smooth and sturdy.  Gives the feel of an SUV.  The pick-up is smooth and one can easily maintain the speed in an overdrive even within the City.  It is a good car for long distance driving as it is quite comfortable and has a high road clearance.

          

The mileage is OK for such a large car.  It gave 11.5 in the first petrol fill and 12.2 in the second in city running.  I have only completed just over a 1000kms.  The best mileage I believe is by keeping the car in overdrive, i.e. 5th gear as much as possible and maintaining a unform speed.  Overuse of brakes and rush starts tend to consume more fuel.

          

This car is good value for money and probably the best  to come out of Maruti so far.  I will not compare it to any other car as it is superior in its own class.  Reversing can be a problem initially, but one gets used to the distance to be maintained after a while.

Overall, it was a good choice, I believe.
